Identity And Platform Assets

Lockups, wordmarks, favicons, app icons, and compact placements

Role

Use the smallest viable mark for the surface.

Identity assets should solve the placement cleanly. Use the full lockup when there is room. Use the wordmark when the symbol is unnecessary. Use the icon-only/favicons when the footprint is compact and the brand is already implied by context.

Start here
  • Use the full lockup when you have enough room to show both the mark and the name.
  • Use the wordmark when the brand is already established and the symbol adds little.
  • Use the compact icon or favicon only when the footprint is tight and the brand context is already implied.
Selection order
  • Full lockup for formal brand display and collateral headers.
  • Wordmark when the context already identifies the brand.
  • Icon/favicons for avatars, app tiles, and tight digital spaces.
Always check
  • Minimum legibility against the background.
  • Whether a light or dark variant is required.
  • Whether the surface is identity-led or content-led.
If you only need the final export
  • Use the primary lockup for standard brand display.
  • Use the favicon SVG or app icon PNG when the footprint is platform-sized.
  • Use the family ZIP when you need the whole approved identity slice in one handoff package.
